Lili Wilson is excited to offer yoga and mindfulness to children in DC, Maryland, and Virginia (and virtually). We have provided these services for children in District of Columbia public and public charter schools, and at a learning center in Ward 8 since 2015.

Our mission is to make yoga and mindfulness accessible to ALL children.

What are the benefits of yoga and mindfulness?

Yoga and mindfulness are practices that promote a healthy mental, emotional, and social life. They are helpful in reducing stress, anger, frustration, sadness, and more. Yoga brings balance, and mindfulness encourages us to remain present and focused.

How does yoga and mindfulness benefit children specifically?

Giving youth access to these tools at a young age, plants seeds to help nurture not only a bright future, but to help them incorporate intentional peace and joy in response to daily stresses, demands, and pressures. It is our hope to provide techniques that the children can implement on a consistent basis to help with the daily challenges they face.

What can be expected in a session?
Each session lasts approximately 45-60 minutes(depending on the age group), and include various techniques such as intentional breath/breathing and various asanas (yoga poses). Sessions are based on the needs and desires of the class, and incorporate age-appropriate themes.
